The J&G geologists, Hubert Jansen and Els Gervais, are specialised in the integration of biostratigraphy with other geological disciplines, such as log interpretation, seismic interpretation and sedimentology. In short, the application of sequence stratigraphy to geological problems. They have worked in the petroleum industry since 1984 on the application of sequence stratigraphy.

The J&G experience is centered on the geology of the North Sea basin and adjacent onshore areas, but also includes extensive experience in the application of world wide plankton stratigraphy.

Specialised expertise is available in the fields of Foraminifera and Nannoplankton stratigraphy. J&G can provide quality microfossil determinations and related stratigraphic and paleoenvironmental interpretations.

Geographically, the stratigraphic experience extends from NW Europe to such places as Vietnam, Nigeria, Birma, Madagascar, the Maldives and Indonesia, to name but a few.

Geohistory Analysis (burial and temperature history) is embedded in the experience of the J&G staff. Since their biostratigraphic interpretations carry numerical age and water depth estimates, they are particularly well suited to serve as Geohistory Analysis input.

J&G is based in Heemstede, The Netherlands, within easy reach of Amsterdam airport and a 45 minute drive from The Hague.
